Action Factory Fire Resistant Long Underwear

Another Exclusive product of Action Factory. Our long-underwear were designed by stunt professional for stunt professionals. The Action Factory long underwear can be used as a system for performing fire gags or simply as a protective layer under a performers wardrobe when around fire. The garments are made from high quality stock of heat and flame resistant fabrics and heavy grade flame resistant stitching for longevity.

• The neck is low cut to minimize the need for wardrobe to cut it out. However a drawstring is built into the collar for an adjustable neckline (Use caution not to cause a dangerous situation. I.E. strangulation or knotting that will not allow safety to open neck area to pull hood)
• The sleeves are equipped with thumbholes, which eliminate the need for a forearm protector over the wrist area. This design can be very handy when putting gloves on, it also protects from wrist area separation. When the sleeve is needed to go away, simply roll it back and it can be hidden under a shirt cuff.
• Elastic is built into the base of the top as well as the pant to help create a locking effect, this in addition to a longer torso length minimizes the risk of separation in the stomach area allowing the performer better movement while fighting, flying or falling on fire.
• The pant, as mentioned, has elastic built in as well in addition to the longer torso length (Just above the belly button for most). Again, to help minimize separation in the stomach area.
• Other details are not overlooked. The garment is “suto” flesh tone and the over-locked stitch minimizes fabric separation in the seam areas.
  
  

• The sleeves are equipped with thumb holes, which eliminate the need for a forearm protector over the wrist area. This design can be very handy when putting gloves on, it also protects from wrist area separation. When the sleeve is needed to go away, simply roll it back and it can be hidden under a shirt cuff.
  

• The legs have the feet area built in like a stocking. This eliminates the need for a sock and eliminates the risk of separation at the ankle area. However we did build a cuff into the garment in case the user prefers an open foot garment. All one needs to do is cut the sock portion off and be left with a clean open footed pant.

Our research has found that a three-layer system has been the best balance in most situations for appearance and safety. Two fire resistant cotton layers, shelled with one layer of PBI treated in Action Factory HydroGel is the most effective.  However, each situation is different so only the user can make a safe final decision.

Action Factory Knit Nomex Gloves

Knit "pseudo" flesh tone Nomex gloves. Made of high quality Nomex yarn, our exclusive outer gloves are intended to help match a stunt performer's hands. The Nomex glove is intended to be an over glove to our Kevlar knit glove, used as an alternative to expensive latex prosthetic hands. However, a performer can use it alone as a lite protective layer and not have to worry about wiping HydroGel from the hand area while performing.

Action Factory offers this exclusive pair of Kevlar gloves. They are designed as an under glove for performing fire stunts and have an extended gauntlet to reduce wrist exposure. Vinyl Disposable Gasket Jumpsuit

Say goodbye to the two-piece rainwear. This one-piece vinyl jumpsuit is the perfect raincoat replacement.

The vinyl jumper has built in feet, front mount zipper, elastic in wrist area and a drawstring in the neck to help with fit. The user can cut to configure most any way needed.

The vinyl is a great barrier to keep the AF HydroGel in and the fuel out. The vinyl will burn away when lit. This vinyl jumpsuit should only be used in conjunction with AF HydroGel.

Action Factory Fire Hoods

Our double layer fire hoods are made from the same quality material as our long underwear and are also stitched with an over-lock pattern.

The hoods are open in the eye area and have a longer bib to minimize collar and neck separation, allowing performer a greater “safe” range of movement.

Pyrex Lensed Hood

These hoods are designed to be used when full face protection is needed. The Pyrex glass lens minimize the potential danger of breaking due to rapid temperature change. This fire hood is used in the most extreme stunt fire conditions. Whether you are performing the stunt or spotting as a fire safety, when you need to be fully covered, this hood will deliver what you need.

* Warning: Pyrex glass can become hot enough to burn the eye area when exposed to direct heat over a moderate period of time. This mask is to be used only by experienced stunt professionals that understand the proper use and limitations of the hood.

* Warning: This hood does not protect against super heated gas inhalation hazards. In the most extreme conditions, Action Factory strongly recommends an internal oxygen/breathing device.

Fire Block

This product meets Action Factory’s high quality standards. We were so impressed with this flame-proofing agent we made it our only choice when prepping.

Fire Block allows a user to flame-treat natural fibers as well as synthetics. It can also be added to water-based paint for some applications. When applied properly the wardrobe will not have a “white flaky” residue, often associated with the other fire proofing agents. The Fire Block treated wardrobe can even be steam pressed, ironed or put in the dryer to get rid of any stiffness, allowing the garment to have a totally natural look. Fire Block has been laboratory tested and deemed non-toxic. However, Action Factory always recommends testing a small amount on a users arm to ensure no allergy.
